20 – Judgment - The Realization of the Journey Manifest Judgment to hear your spiritual calling.

Banish Judgment to banish the old life in order to rise like a phoenix from its ashes.

In the Vedic tradition of ancient India, at the end of life one of two groups of beings come for the soul, either Vishnudutas or Yamadutas. They escort the soul on to its next stage of existence. In Christianity an archangel blows his horn summoning the souls to rise from the grave. Dying and thereby proceeding on to an afterlife, in any religion, is a metaphor for a spiritual awakening to the higher purpose in your life. Take a look at the long expanse of your life and judge what you have done, what you have accomplished, and what yet needs to be done. Rise again and reinvent your self. Using judgment means being able to discriminate between differences and making intelligent choices based on the differences. It is an ideal that humans make choices and use their judgment for higher purposes, for noble purposes. Perhaps the most noble purpose is to help others and show them mercy. Mother Theresa said, “If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” Her life displayed a higher purpose. Thus the Judgment card is about acknowledging your higher power and your higher purpose; remembering it and living your life in accordance with it. Be merciful to your self and others.

Reversed Meaning The message of your higher power is blocked or delayed. You have strayed away from your life purpose. Mercy is not an appropriate choice. Are you listening to your higher calling? The Judgment appearance in a spread This card is about exercising judgment and hearing and heeding the call of your own higher power. You are being called to judge a person or situation. Exercise mercy lest ye be judged by the same standard. Judgment Exercise - 7 Card Judgment spread We pass judgment on our self over and over and over for the same crime committed eons ago. So much so that condemning our self to failure becomes ingrained habit. Stop this negative cycle by using the 7 Card Judgment spread. Once you learn to be merciful to your self, then you can give mercy to others.

Card 4 The truth of the matter.

Card 5 Why I deserve mercy.

Card 6 How to end this non-progressive cycle.

Card 7 How to move forward with healthy judgment

Case History A combat veteran suffering from PTSD and high blood pressure came to me for a reading. We asked the tarot for guidance and the Judgment card appeared. In the particular deck we used, the art showed a joyous naked woman rising up out of a black cauldron sitting over flames. Behind her a phoenix also rose from the flames. He struggled to understand that the tarot told him to rise up from the ashes of his old life and find a new joyous reality, to hearken to the call of his higher power. He admitted that he had slacked off his spiritual practices and resolved to begin anew.

Basic Numerology Exercises

Strangely enough, when I calculated his birth card, it was also Judgment. Your Birth Card is calculated from your birth date and bears a major life lesson or purpose that you will find yourself returning to again and again throughout your life.

Birth date = 1/19/63 1 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 3 = 20 Judgment

or further reduced to 2 + 0 = 2 The High Priestess

All the cards above 9 can be reduced if one wants to contemplate multiple cards and meditate on the synchronicity of symbols. Judgment and what it means to judge himself and others is a theme that recur all his life. Perhaps also the High Priestess will reveal her inner mysteries of the conscious and subconscious if he continually meditates on her.

Year Card for 2005 This is calculated by adding the current year to your birth date and it shows what energy you will work with that year. 1 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 0 + 0 + 5 = 27 = 2 + 7 = 9 The Hermit So 2005 was a good year to withdraw and introspect and meditate on the Hermit.

Year Card for 2020 Let's look at 2020 for the combat veteran. That's the birth date plus 2020. 1 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 24 = 2 + 4 = 6 The Lovers 2020 is a good year to be loving, seek, love, consider all aspects of what it means to love and to meditate on the Lovers card.
